What is KuWohl?

KuWohl is a project that combines art, movement, and music with a focus on wellbeing and inclusion.
The project lasts two years and offers  free workshops in different districts of Berlin.
People with and without disabilities, with or without a migration background, can share creative experiences.

Funding and Partners

The project is funded by Aktion Mensch.
In collaboration with the Stadtteilzentrum (STZ) Adalbertstrasse  and other local organizations.

Project Goals

  • Promote encounters and exchanges between people
    • Strengthen inclusion and mutual respect
    • Support wellbeing through artistic activities
    • Create a network of solidarity among different people

Who is Behind KuWohl?

The project is organized by the Artemisia Association.

Main Coordinators:

• Alice Marchetto – project management and psychologist

Marco Fiamin – project management and experiential educator

Where Do the Workshops Take Place?

Some courses take place at the Stadtteilzentrum (STZ) Adalbertstraße Adalbertstraße 23a, 10997 Berlin (U-Bahn Kottbusser Tor)
Other courses are held in libraries, family centers, and community centers.
New locations are regularly posted on the project website.

Accessibility and Support

All spaces are barrier-free and easily accessible.
Assistants are available (Levels 1–2–3).
Workshops can be held in German, Italian, or English.
Some workshops use sign language (LIS).

Participation and Registration

Participation is free of charge.
Voluntary donations to the association are welcome.
You can join one or all workshops.
Registration is via e-mail to the workshop leader.

Target Audience

All people aged 18 and over, regardless of origin, gender, disability, or sexual orientation.
Each workshop accommodates up to 15 participants.

Workshops

Mobile Atelier

Leader: Marco Fiamin
Art workshop moving between libraries, community, and family centers.

Activities: Painting, drawing, clay work.

Goals:
• Promote creativity and personal expression
• Bring art to different places in the city
• Encourage meetings in a friendly atmosphere

Duration:
17 sessions, each 2 hours and 30 minutes (including 15 minute break).

Melody Without Borders

Leader: Davide Rossini
Musician, conductor, and composer with experience in music pedagogy and inclusion.

Activities: Ensemble music, composition, improvisation, voice, and instruments.

Goals:
• Strengthen creativity and self-confidence
• Use music as a path to inclusion
• Promote collaboration and empathy
• Experience joy in making music together

Connected Bodies

Leader: Maria Cristina Canta
Dance movement therapist, psychological consultant, and dancer.

Activities: Body exploration, free dance, improvisation, use of drawings and objects.

Goals:
• Strengthen body awareness
• Promote trust and connection with others
• Express emotions through movement

Duration:
13 sessions, 2. hours each (including 15 minute break).

This 5-session workshop cycle at Netzwerk behinderter Frauen Berlin e. V. is exclusively for women.

YES! – Conscious Dance and Movement Experience

Activities: Breathing, warm-up, free movement, drawing, or word exercises.

Goals:
• Reconnect with yourself and your body
• Express emotions through movement
• Cultivate awareness and self-esteem
• Learn to say “Yes” to yourself

  • Duration:
    13 sessions, 2 hours each 30 minute (including 15 minute break).

Talking Drums

Leader: Vito Giacovelli
Musician and percussion teacher.

Activities: Open music ensemble; drums, percussion instruments, or body percussion.

Goals:
• Experience rhythm and music together
• Strengthen inclusion and sense of community
• Use music as a tool for wellbeing and creativity

Duration:
25 sessions, 2 hours and 15 minute (including 15 minute break).

1+1=3 – Me, You and Creativity

Leader: Federica Falconi
Art therapist, works with individuals and groups.

Activities: Colors, paper, photographs, collage.

Goals:
• Discover and develop your own creativity
• Promote collaboration and sense of belonging
• Find new perspectives on yourself and others
• Achieve inner calm and awareness

Duration:
9 sessions, 2 hours and 30 minutes (including 15 minute break).
